The award is named in honor of Corinne Leach, a dedicated CancerX team member who has spent over two decades supporting cancer patients and caregivers. When Corinne began her own cancer treatment journey, her experience provided valuable insights that inspired the creation of this award celebrating patient-centered innovation.

Manta Cares earned this recognition through their innovative "Cancer GPS" platform, which transforms patient journeys from chaotic experiences into mapped, navigable pathways. Their comprehensive platform serves cancer patients, care partners, and healthcare providers with clinically validated insights, practical tools, and a supportive community.

The platform makes cancer care navigation simple, accessible, and personalized through an intuitive interface modeled after a subway system map. This approach helps patients navigate complex treatment decisions, seamlessly connecting them to existing support services at every stage of their journey.

The selection process involved patients, caregivers, mentors, and community leaders voting for the solution that best reflected values of compassion, accessibility, and patient partnership. Decimal Health, the award sponsor, provided a $5,000 cash prize and access to a specialized workshop to help refine Manta Cares' go-to-market strategy.
